Initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in 1967, Beverly Smith has made a lifetime commitment to the organization. She has held several leadership positions in the sorority, including national president and CEO for a 2017–2019 term. Smith is currently assistant commissioner and state director for Adult Education and GED Testing, a division of the Technical College System of Georgia. She is also a principal and co-owner of The HR Group, a management consulting firm.
