40th Anniversary Kickoff Weekend

Theme: “FROM CALLIS TO CALLUP”

Dates: April 4–6, 2026

Location: Dayton, Ohio — Wright State University Area

The Legacy Project Overview — “NEVER AGAIN”

The Legacy Project marks the beginning of a new era for the Pi Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated—an era defined by empowerment, sustainability, and forward thinking. Anchored by the theme “NEVER AGAIN,” this initiative declares our collective commitment that never again will our chapter face financial hardship or lack the resources to fulfill its mission of developing leaders, promoting brotherhood, and serving humanity.

The two pillars of The Legacy Project—Education and Endowment—stand as the foundation of our future. Through education, we will equip our younger brothers with the tools to master business acumen, financial literacy, and strategic leadership. This is more than a fund; it is a movement to empower, not judge—a call to teach our brothers how to build, sustain, and multiply resources that enrich both the chapter and their personal legacies. By cultivating these skills, our members will carry forward a mindset of ownership, excellence, and generational wealth—passing on wisdom and opportunity to those who follow.

Our endowment goal is $15,000, with each line encouraged to contribute at least $1,000 toward this vision. Special recognition will be given to the line that contributes the most, symbolizing both competition and collective pride. This campaign will be meaningful and fun, blending purpose with celebration as we honor the past, invest in the present, and secure the future of Pi Phi. Together, we affirm that our legacy is not only what we inherit—but what we build.

Phase I: The Legacy Project

The 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Pi Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated begins with The Legacy Project, sponsored by the Charter Brothers alongside Brother Myron Duhart. This inaugural event marks the official kickoff of our Endowment and Education Fund, a vital initiative designed to preserve our chapter’s legacy of excellence and uplift future generations. The fund will be chaired by Brothers George Foster and Judge Myron Duhart, symbolizing the enduring commitment of Pi Phi to scholarship, leadership, and community service.

Phase II: The Summer Round-Up

Our second phase, the Summer Round-Up, brings the brotherhood together for a weekend of fellowship, connection, and pure Alpha spirit. This informal gathering will allow brothers from near and far to reconnect, reminisce, and build new memories in a relaxed setting. The location and activities will be determined by the event’s organizing committee, with Brother Demarcus Felton leading discussions and final recommendations coming from his group. This moment of fellowship serves as a bridge between our legacy and our future.

Phase III: The 40th Anniversary Finale

The grand finale of our celebration unfolds during the Theta Lambda Cabaret Weekend, a momentous time of unity, reflection, and pride. The Brothers of Pi Phi will come together for luncheons, fellowships, and various celebratory events, culminating in the Alpha Cabaret, where we will honor our chapter’s 40 years of brotherhood and impact. This closing weekend embodies our theme—“From Callis to Callup”—celebrating both our historic roots and the continued calling of Pi Phi men to lead with purpose.
